Welcome to Castlebar School. We are an Outstanding Local Authority special school for children aged 4-11 yo and cater for children with complex learning difficulties including autism and other sensory impairments. Some children have challenging behaviours.

We are very proud of all the children at Castlebar and want all our children to achieve the best possible outcomes. The children at Castlebar make great progress, especially in the core areas of communication, independence and socialisation. They are remarkable children and deserve the very best we can give.

The staff are hardworking, dedicated and highly skilled and work with other professionals to provide the best school provision possible. Our parents/carers are partners and we want to work with them in their child’s journey through Castlebar School.
