Castlebar School is very pleased to be one of the first schools to achieve the Healthy Schools Ealing Platinum Award.
We achieved the award for showcasing our work for our Healthy Schools Gold Priorities to other local schools through a learning walk.
Our Gold priorities included enhancing the PSHE curriculum maps to ensure our topics taught were in line with the new Ealing Gird For Learning PSHE scheme of work and developing teachers confidence in delivering this.
As a targeted priority, we developed a Picky Eaters programme to support KS2 packed lunch children who were eating a very limited number of foods. During the learning walk which took place in March this school year, colleagues from the Health Improvement Team and Belvue High School observed PSED learning across the school including PSHE lessons, cooking and specific interventions used to support development in interaction.
